01The short answer, including the part that costs extra
A 10 to 20 yard roll-off delivered to Bradenton from $425 plus the $185 distance charge, seven days a week between 9 AM and 6 PM. So a 10 yard lands at $610 and a 20 yard at $735, before tonnage. There is no version of this where the distance charge disappears — Bradenton is 67 miles from us and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
If that is more than a Manatee County outfit charges, book the Manatee County outfit. We are worth calling when you want the same crew that did the rest of your job, when you need a Sunday, or when nobody local will commit to a window.
02City or county? It decides who you ask about permits
This is the first thing to sort out and most people get it wrong. A great many addresses with a Bradenton mailing address are in unincorporated Manatee County, not the City of Bradenton. Different authority, different permit, different phone number.

We are not going to quote you a permit fee we cannot source. Driveway placement is what we default to here, which keeps the question academic on most jobs. If your job genuinely needs the street, make the call first — it is one phone call and it is free.
03The bridges, and why island jobs need scheduling
Anna Maria Island has exactly three road connections and all three are drawbridges: the SR 64 Anna Maria Island Bridge, the SR 684 Cortez Bridge and the SR 789 Longboat Pass Bridge. For a loaded roll-off truck that is a scheduling problem, not a routing one — a bascule opening at the wrong moment costs half an hour.
The $123 million Cortez Bridge replacement began construction in September 2026 and runs roughly 1,200 days. The existing 22-foot bascule is being replaced with a 65-foot fixed span, with a traffic shift at the end of 2026 and another in mid-2028. Access is being maintained throughout, but the pattern changes more than once. For the next three years, island work needs a conversation about timing before it needs a price.
The SR 64 bridge is still a bascule too; its own replacement is not due to be let until July 2028. We have not found any posted tonnage limit on the three bridges — the real constraint is openings and active construction, not weight.
04Estate clearances and park homes are most of the work here
Manatee County runs about 468,200 people with 29.4% aged 65 or over — one of the older county profiles in the state — across roughly 243,800 housing units, 74.3% owner-occupied. There are also more than 120 mobile home parks in the county, a great many of them 55-plus communities.
That produces a different job to Davenport's new-build overflow. Here it is estate clearances, downsizing, and park homes being cleared between owners — houses that have been lived in for thirty years, where the volume is in the garage, the lanai and the shed rather than in a torn-out bathroom.
How we work those
- Full-service is usually the better buy. If nobody is going to load the can, a crew loading it is cheaper than a can sitting for a fortnight.
- Park homes are tight. Many 55-plus parks have narrow internal roads and their own placement rules. Send a photo of the approach and we will tell you honestly whether a can fits or whether it should be a truck-load job.
- We slow down on estate work. Nobody clearing a parent's house wants to be rushed, and things get found in those houses that should not go in a dumpster.
Downtown and the Village of the Arts are the other end of it — 36 acres and 200-odd homes of 1920s architecture on narrow lots. Same constraints as any century-old neighbourhood: no room, no forgiveness, driveway placement or nothing.
05Lena Road, and what it costs to tip here
Manatee loads go to the Lena Road Landfill, 3333 Lena Road, a mile east of I-75 off SR 64. Monday to Saturday, 8 to 5.

Worth noticing: C&D tips higher here than household waste, which is the reverse of Polk County where both sit at the same rate. It is part of why the distance charge to Bradenton is what it is, and it is another reason not to mix a renovation load with a yard load.
06Storm debris — separated, or it does not move
Manatee took Helene and Milton in consecutive months in autumn 2024. Inside four weeks the county had shifted more than 400,000 cubic yards in over 7,700 truckloads, working toward a projected three million over the FEMA window.
The rule that mattered then and will matter again: during Helene the county waived Lena Road tipping fees for residents' storm debris but required plant material and construction material to be kept unmixed. A mixed pile loses the waiver and gets charged.
If you are clearing after a storm, two cans — one green, one building material — is not us upselling you. It is the difference between free and $65 a ton.
07What cannot go in the can
Lena Road refuses car parts and vehicles outright. Asbestos needs 24-hour advance scheduling; soils and dredge material need prior approval. Tires, appliances and yard waste are handled and charged separately and need to be scheduled ahead.
Household hazardous waste is free for Manatee residents at two points — Lena Road Landfill (Monday to Friday 8 to 5, plus every third Saturday 9 to 3) and the Utilities building at 4520 66th Street West. They take aerosols, antifreeze, batteries, cleaning compounds, diesel, gasoline, motor oil, paint, pesticides, propane tanks and weed killer. Only empty, dry paint cans may go in regular trash.
Electronic scrap is free too: phones and cords, DVD players, hard drives, printers, TVs and small appliances. Toasters, vacuums, mixers and blenders are not taken as e-scrap. The county runs a “Waste Wizard” lookup tool if you want to check a specific item before it goes in.
