What we haul
First Responder Transport hauls heavy equipment and machinery on a gooseneck flatbed across Tampa, Plant City, Lakeland, Davenport and the rest of Central Florida, seven days a week at any hour. Text a photo of the machine and the access and you get a real price back, usually inside the hour.
Why a gooseneck
The flatbed is a gooseneck. The deck sits low and the load is chained down rather than winched up onto a tilt bed. That suits tracked machines and attachments, and anything that would rather be driven or walked on than dragged.
Every load goes down at four points, checked before the truck leaves the gate and again before it gets on the highway.
What we need to quote it
- What it is. Make and model if you have them, a photo if you do not.
- Roughly what it weighs. Weight is the first question, because it decides how the machine travels.
- Whether it runs, rolls and steers.
- Where it is now and where it is going, including whether either end is soft ground.
- How it loads. Drives on, gets pushed on, or needs picking up.
A photo of the machine and a photo of the approach gets you a real number back, usually inside the hour. A guess over the phone gets you a number that changes on the day, and that helps nobody.
Machines that will not drive
Recovery and relocation is part of the work: a machine that died on a job site, a tractor that has sat in a field for years, equipment that has to move and will not do it under its own power. Tell us whether it rolls, whether it steers and what the ground around it is like, and send a photo.
Nights and weekends
Job sites do not always run to office hours, and equipment often has to move while a site is shut. We run seven days a week, at any hour. A two in the morning load out is quoted the same way as a Tuesday afternoon, off the photo and the access, and the price is agreed before anyone turns a wheel.
Where we run
Most of the work runs along I-4 between Tampa and Davenport, and down to Bradenton.

Questions people ask
How much does it cost to transport a skid steer?
It depends on the distance, the weight and the access at both ends. Send a photo of the machine, a photo of the approach and both towns, and you will get a fixed price back, usually inside the hour.
Can you move equipment that does not run?
Yes. Non-runners are a normal part of the work. Tell us whether it rolls and steers, because that decides how it gets onto the deck.
Can you move equipment at night or on a weekend?
Yes. Seven days a week, at any hour, and the price is agreed before the job starts.
Can you do the site work as well?
Yes. The tracked skid steer does land clearing, grading, concrete removal and pallet fork loading, with the operator, priced per job. See skid steer work.
