01How a shed move works
First Responder Transport moves sheds whole on a gooseneck flatbed across Tampa, Lakeland, Plant City and the rest of Central Florida. You text a photo of the shed and the way in and out, you get a price back, usually inside the hour, and on the day the shed is lifted, strapped, driven over and set down level.
A shed is light for its size and it flexes. Lift it from the wrong points and it racks out of square, and a shed that is out of square has doors that stop closing. That is why it moves whole, strapped down on the deck, and why the route gets looked at before the day is booked.
02What decides the job
Two things decide whether a shed move is simple, and both are about the route rather than the shed.
Clearance the whole way
A shed on a deck is tall. Central Florida streets are lined with low live oaks, and plenty of driveways have power or cable lines over them. The clearance that matters is the lowest point on the whole route, not just the gap at each end, so on anything awkward we drive the route first.
The ground where it lands
Set a shed down on soft sand or fresh turf and it will not be level in a month. Tell us what the new spot is: pavers, a slab, blocks, compacted base or bare ground. If it is not ready yet, it is better to know before the day than on it.
03What to send for a price

- The shed, from a couple of angles.
- Its rough size, length and width, and what it is built from.
- The way out: the gate, the driveway, and any trees or wires over it.
- The new spot, and what the ground there is.
- What is inside it, if anything.
- Both towns, and when it needs to happen.
You get a real number back, usually inside the hour. That number is agreed before the truck leaves, and nothing gets added afterwards.
04Before the day
- Empty it if you can. Anything left inside slides around on the road. If it cannot be emptied, say so when you ask for the price.
- Clear the path. Cars, trailers and anything else parked between the shed and the street need to be out of the way, at both ends.
- Sort the gate. If a fence panel has to come out to get the shed through, have that done before the truck arrives.
- Mark the spot. Know exactly where it is going and which way the door should face.

How much does it cost to move a shed?
It depends on the size, the distance and the access at both ends, so there is no flat rate. Text a photo of the shed, a photo of the way in and out, and both towns, and you will have a real number back, usually inside the hour.
Can you move a shed without taking it apart?
Yes. Sheds are moved whole. That is the normal way to do it.
How big a shed can you move?
The route decides that as much as the shed does, because of the height once it is on the deck. Send the length and width with a photo and you will get a straight answer before anything is booked.
Do you move sheds on weekends?
Yes. Seven days a week, at any hour. A Sunday move is quoted the same way as a weekday one.
Will the shed be level when you set it down?
It gets set down on its rails and squared up. Whether it stays level comes down to the ground under it, which is why we ask about the new spot before the day.
